Guest compensation for airconditioning problem

I  just  had a family group that stayed in  two of my houses  to attend a family wedding.  There was a compressor  problem with the a/c at one of  the houses.  It cooled in the morning and the evening but wasn't working efficiently to cool the house when it was 100 degrees during the  day.  I called 2 different service  companies and  neither of  them could get the needed part during the July4th holiday.  What would be a suitable compensation for  their inconvenience?

@Rhonda308  Short stay guests are usually out of the house in the afternoon anyway, so this might actually be less of am issue than it seems. But a token gesture of 15% or so back for the rental of the affected house would be reasonable.

my guests rented for 3 nights and 2 of the nights the air was not at full capacity.  I provided fans and called service who came out immediately but was not able to fix the problem as the parts were not readily available.  I offered an alternative home (far nicer ) only 3 miles away and they declined. The air was not unbearable but definetly uncomfortable. They want both nights compensated in full.

I think a 20 % refund would be realistic.  Thoughts please as I want to be fair
