Hello, recently I got a booking for - couple of days. I asked the guest, who’s staying and why just to make small talk. He told me his dad was coming to visit him for school and it’s just going to stay in the Airbnb for a couple of days. So I’m like okay no problem. I hope you guys enjoy the stay. However when the day arrives, it was actually him and his girlfriend. (I have a camera pointed at the front entrance so I can see who’s going in and out of the apartment). I don’t know why he would like about this situation? Does Airbnb guest lie like this all the time? Is this an issue?
Going forward, ask for the names and ID of everyone who is on the listing. If they say, "Oh so and so is just visiting for the day and not staying", simply tell them your insurance requires an accurate guest count and ID for anyone who is going to be on the premises.
Also add language to your listing that you don't allow unregistered guests due to your insurance requirements.
