Hi a guest recently wrote a review in which he rated us 4/5 on cleanliness but when I checked on what we could improve on he said he wanted to change his review to 5/5 as there was nothing he could fault us on . Is there any way he can do this ?
Thanks Mike that’s really sad but feels too drastic for me . I’ll see if he can add a further comment but don’t think so . Will add an explanation of the review system
@Helen3 thank you - no he gave me two other four stars - ( check in and accuracy ) - overall rating 4 🥲 but could come up with no suggested improvements even though I asked very nicely and subsequently told me he thought 4 was a very good rating but would not change anything and would like to change the rating and was very sorry . I did not put him under any pressure at all - just asked him for his suggestions for improvements . Maybe my best option is to contact support for superhost ?
@Jeanne-Irene0 we don't ask for 5 star reviews but in our checkout instructions we write the text below so that people know a 4 star review is bad.
Do also let us know if anything is damaged, broken or needs improvement so we can deal with it for future guests.
We hope you enjoyed your time with us and will leave a review on Airbnb. The Airbnb system is somewhat strange in that an average of 4.7 stars is ‘the level of performance that’s expected from hosts on Airbnb’.
