How do I know an inquiry is legit?

I received a message on my phone asking about my place so I looked up the phone number and it says scam. I just listed on Sunday-so I am really NEW at this!!  Any suggestions are appreciated - https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/793621955665940570?

Thanks, Darlene

Hard  to predict what is a hustle and legitimate, at first, till you see a pattern. In the beginning the norm is to approach all inquiries without skepticism, until further notice. 😉

Thank you!  Everything is going well. I worry to much lol.

@Darlene230 It is worth remembering that people naturally bring problems to these community centres and don't mention the many great experiences.

Hello Darlene,

Were you able to see the person who was inquiring, their name and Airbnb profile? Did they have any reviews?
You usually can’t see the guests phone number until you invite them or accept their stay.
The bottom line is, if you don’t feel comfortable with a guest, you can decline their stay.
Good luck to you with your rental.

Thanks!! So far this weekend is going well. The couple staying this weekend have been great.
