Increase price for short periods

Increase price for short periods

Hi all, I would like to know if we can set up a rule to increase price to X amount if booking is for a period less than Y nights. Please let me know!

thanks!

@Maryem4 if you switch on pro tools you can then apply rulesets to your calendar. You can discount for certain periods which will have the same effect as what you are wanting. I don't think you can have a negative discount though.

Brilliant thank you! I just switched on pro tools and it works with discounts rather than increase so I guess the initial price should be set high and then apply discounts accordingly to the length. That makes sense! Thank you 🙏🏻

Hi @Maryem4

One way is to use professional tools (turned on by going to account and settings), and create a rule set with a discount that you can apply to dates of your choice.

Or, on your calendar, click the availability tab. Under discounts, scroll to "Set up discounts". There's an option to set up trip length discounts (in line with what you are looking for).

Alternatively, you can keep all nights priced equally and add a cleaning fee. This adds a "per booking" charge to your fee structure, meaning shorter stays are relatively more expensive. It's a good way to match income and expenses, as guest changeover days cause significantly more costs than non-changeover days.

Oh the cleaning fee is a great idea as well. Thank you so much for the insights, really helpful!
