I received this message and have asked for more details but wondering everyone's thoughts on this:

"I'm planning a small gathering for about 8-10 people and wanted to check with you to see if it would be possible to host the event at your place. The gathering will be intimate, and no one will be staying overnight.

Please let me know if this would be acceptable."

That's what I'm worried about.  She does have 5, 5-star reviews.  Replied that its a "birthday, dinner and games with friends and family.

I would not go anywhere near hosting that. I agree with @Mike-And-Jane0 completely.

Perhaps there is a local restaurant with an event room that they could arrange, much more appropriate

I would have to decline.   I learned the hard way not to allow ANY get togethers which is another word for party.
