I’m a guest seeking guidance on a Health & Safety issue that hasn’t been properly resolved. I stayed at an older home that turned out to have mold contamination through the HVAC system and mold in many areas of the house. A professional remediation company arrived right after my checkout, confirming the problem was preexisting.
I became sick during the stay, and all my belongings absorbed the odor. I’ve spoken with several Airbnb support agents and senior case managers. They issued a full refund for unused nights and only $126 for stayed nights, but I still paid over $1,000 for an uninhabitable home.
I’ve been told this can’t be escalated further, but this seems like a Health & Habitability issue under Airbnb policy, not just a refund question. Can a moderator or staff member please help me figure out how to ensure this reaches the Trust & Safety / Health & Safety team for proper review?
