Proof of residency request

Long-term quest requesting proof of residence to enroll kids in school. The guest is staying until the end of the school year and then relocating outside of the USA.

Would it be appropriate to sign a letter stating the length of stay based on the current booking?

if you have a guest who is long term and wishes to enroll their children in school, provide the guest with a legal, binding lease rather than a letter. Schools will accept legal leases as proof of residency.

They can provide a copy of their booking confirmation I wouldn't provide anything else which might give them access to tenancy rights at your property . As an Airbnb guest they are a guest. @Caroline2344

Technically Airbnb is considered a temporary residence which means homelessness so even a booking confirmation isn't needed. They have rights under McKinley-Vento, simply self-identifying they are homeless is enough.
