Redeeming coupons

Thank you AirBnb for the acknowledgment! 
I have stayed as a guest at Airbnbs with family, but I did not reserve under my name.  Is there a way to use my coupon for the reservation?

@Joan2088 Great question!

According to Airbnb’s policy, promotional coupons or credits are only valid when used on a reservation made directly through the account they were issued to. That means:

 ✔ You can use your coupon as long as you are the one making the booking through your own Airbnb account.

❌ You cannot apply a coupon to a reservation that was made under someone else’s name or account, even if you're staying with them.

What you can do:
To use your coupon, you’ll need to create a new reservation under your own Airbnb account, either for your own trip or a future stay with family or friends. Just make sure you’re the person booking it.
