How can I tell when an upcoming guest has been here previously? Some guests tell us, some do not. Is there anything on the Airbnb site that would let me know when they book?

Hi @Richard2305 ,
If 'here' means your exact listing, there isn't currently a method to know if that is the case (that I am aware of).
If 'here' means a certain geographical area, there are now graphic icons attached to a guests profile from any previous travel booked thru AIRBNB. This feature needs to also be turned on by the guest.
To see this travel data mentioned, you would just click on a guest profile and that info is at the bottom of each profile, if it is turned on by the guest (and they also have previous travel booked thru AIRBNB).
You should also be able to go back in your history to check. In our case our AIRBNB data/messages goes back to our original reservations. So, in theory, if you have a name, you could search thru your messages to see what you find (first names only as the last name disappears, as you know).
We keep a list of guests, just on a spreadsheet, with first/last name and our personal feedback, like if something happened that we wouldn't care to put in a review but is meaningful to us, especially if we had a very positive experience, we highlight this so it's easy for us to remember.
Hope that helps a bit!

We used to be able to see if we had a returning guest as the new message thread would be added to last part of the message thread we had with this guest. Sadly, for some unknown reason, someone decided to do away with that convenient feature so now a repeat guest appears in a new blank message thread making it impossible to see if it's a returning guest unless you have a very good memory or use @Greystone0 hack!
