Hello . My name is Laurie and my husband and I have been hosting for about a year . We try to go above and beyond for the guests. So far we have had all five stars except for two four stars . It really knocked the rating down . The last guest  had an issue one I fixed it within 8 hours . ( a shower curtain ) that was not up to par. I replaced a chair she complained about . And she still gave me four stars and implied issues of cleanliness which I have a great cleaner. I feel like it misrepresents our place . I’m afraid to write a review about them because people can retaliate . Does anyone feel like the review system is not really fair for hosts ?

@Laurie939 people cannot retaliate with reviews as they are blind and seen by neither side until both are posted (or if only 1 side reviews then after 14 days).

If you do not review honestly then, as a guest, when I look into a poor review of you as a host I cannot go and see what you thought of the guest. Hope that makes sense!

The ONLY risk of leaving an honest review is that, the the guest has left you a glowing review, they can ask for their review to be deleted.

Also it's good to see you have 4 star reviews - The pressure and stress of a perfect set of 5 star reviews is immense!
