I had my lock installed about a montha go. Everything seemd to be working fine with my app. Airbnb assigned a code to a guest and a couple of days before the guest was due, I got a message that read I needed to check my Schlage lock as it was offline. It was on its 2.4G band and codes were all working. Now, after two days of trying to get it going again, it seems to be locked. I did a reset and it isn't recognizing my programming code. Any suggestions?
Hi @Toni7692 😊,
I'm sorry about this!
Did you try reaching out to Customer Support? Do you need their contact details?

I have had that lock for about a year and run into that problem frequently. Codes still work but the connection to the app drops. I started to monitor it and it would drop and reconnect quite often. It does not impact any codes already saved but you can’t add new ones if it is not online and Airbnb app assumes if off line no codes are saved.
I solved the issue by putting a wifi extender close to the door. I actually installed it near the ceiling above the door. Haven’t had an issue since except when batteries got too low.
I love the ability to unlock the door remotely too. Had one guest who changed their phone number and hadn’t updated the app so it used the last four digits of the old number. I was able to open the door from the restaurant I was at to get them in then figured it out when I got home.
I just had that issue recently too. Checked the wifi, did a hard power off of the wifi to reset it, checked the batteries, changed the batteries anyhow, was all set to deal with doing a factory reset, and it somehow started working again. Doesn't fill me with confidence, however.
I've got the key in case things go wrong and a regular lock on a second door that doesn't require wifi (but is less secure) for access for guests in case it's needed.
Just weird though. Glitchy. It's been about a year / just under since we installed it. AirBNB was helpful because I didn't recall exactly which model lock I have but they had a link to the Schlage site when it went awry.
