Dear Superhost and customer support
I am again posting the same message because we had temporary changes since my message here in July!
After this message immediately i got a call from Airbnb customer support and literally the next day we got plenty of enquiry and bookings as they removed the shadow ban but then after 15th august again nothing!
From September to April is high season in Jaipur and it’s a very touristic city and we always had booking for the upcoming season even in lockdown even during 2 years where the borders of India were closed to foreign tourists as Indian tourists also travels !
It will be the first year ever in 9 years that we have 0 boookings not even enquiry for the upcoming season !
I have been trying to explain to customers support multiple times on phones ( countless hours i have spent with them trying to justify and prove ) and i have plenty of videos and photos of potential guests who prove that they can’t find our listings , hence they can’t book our place !
We even got the whole listings 9 professional photoshoots and i have updated all the listings ( photos and descriptions) to show that we are really actif and serious about being a host ( who wouldn’t be after 9 years?! ) and the last call i had with the customer service , he is telling me to update the photos so it prove me that they are not ready to help ! 😩😩
I have put a discount even we are in high season , i have decrease my prices from 3 years ago even the cost of life has increased in India , and still no booking and worse not a single inquiry !
All listings around are getting booked obviously as i repeat its high season starting here !
I can’t believe after 9 years 430 reviews 429 5 stars , 1 review 1 star i find myself to justify and to beg for help and taking our case seriously!!! it’s really really sad and i am not able to understand this bad treatment and behaviour from the only platform i have been loyal and sharing my property on?!
I would like to know why is this happening , what have we done to deserve such treatment ??? What does Airbnb expect from us as we are not able to understand why this situation is happening , and i don’t think to get 1 star review in 1 year justify such treatment!
Here is the message still actual from today as nothing has changed , i wrote in July !
I hope my voice will be heard again as it’s been one year of complete silence from the airbnb super host help center !
Last year in september an * employee from airbnb put us a bad review ( all false but that another issue ) !
As the review was false it got removed by Airbnb US !
We think with my husband that she is very powerful here in India because she got my review removed and her review re instated !
BUT here start the nightmare!!
we have had less than 10 bookings since that incident last year in September ! Our listings are mostly shadow banned, means it’s not showing on the map!
We are superhost for 9 years and we have been dedicated to airbnb! ( no other platforms )
We loved having all these people home and now it’s empty for almost one year and due to ONE BAD REVIEW , we can’t do hosting anymore, no booking not even a single request or message from any one !
I have spent 100 hours on the phone with airbnb support and everyone seems to ignore us !
We stay in Jaipur which is a super touristic place from September to April and we got only 10 bookings since September 2024 and even during Covid we had more booking !
I am very very disappointed that Airbnb is punishing us for one bad review and all our efforts, love and money is just gone wasted due to this girl !
I SEEK FOR HELP i would like to understand why is Airbnb treating us Superhost for 9 years with over. 420 reviews in such bad way ?
Is this the policy of Airbnb to shadow ban their superhost for 1 bad review in 9 years ???
I am really thinking of leaving this platforms as i feel betrayed and abandoned by Airbnb after 9 years being Superhost and we have received 0 support from no one !!
That was my feedback and i won’t stop to share my experience until i get a real answer to our situation! it’s completely unfair and do no justice to us !
Very very sad after all this years to be treated as such!

Hi @Diane124
I'd like to help you look for one of your listings on the map, but can you perhaps indicate just one of them (perhaps the one that you're most concerned about)?
Dear Shelley,
thank you for replying!
In fact it’s not one listing i am concerned it’s all my listings but i will give you 2 names as i dont know if it is allow to share the links here !
one is Park view room with natural light, and one is Spacious and quiet apartment!
The last one has 0 views when i check on my hosting platform !
See i am not new to airbnb it will be 10 years this january i have been hosting and it feel awful and unfair to be punished the way we are for unjustified reason!
Jaipur is a hub and 5th most popular city in India for inbound and outbound tourists , and not having any request since 1.5 month ( we just had 1 week fully booked after i got a call from airbnb ) and before that the whole 2025 with almost no booking had made me understand that something is wrong!
We got our all house repainted , professional photoshoot made , change the furniture , spent a lot of money on our rooftop garden, all this thinking it will help getting booking or at least enquiry!
We had always house full in season time and we made strong connections with repeated guests … all our 9 years of efforts are gone 0 just after this one star review and it’s unbelievable!
For me the fact that the support call me and next day we got fully booked after 8 months of 0 booking in august is a proof that they are aware something is wrong and have the power to change this !
I just don’t understand why is this happening to us ?
We have over 450 reviews and they speak by themselves as we always welcome our guests and that’s why they would come back !
I wish to no one the situation we have been out in , it’s really painful 😩
Hi @Diane124
I searched for "Park view room with natural light" as follows:
Pink City, 11 to 13 October, 1 guest, Filter for Rooms listings only.
The listing came up in the middle of page 6. It looks like perhaps the higher ranked listings seem to (in very general terms) on average, be closer to the Pink City. There's nothing you can do about that.
I then searched for Raja Park with the same details as above. You were on page 1 for Rooms listings, in the 6th position. There were cheaper listings ranking lower than yours on the first page. The listing just before it, in 5th position on page 1, was your "Quiet Room in a Spacious Apartment".
I then searched for "Spacious and Quiet Apartment" as follows:
Pink City, 11 to 13 October, 4 guests. I didn't find it in Pink City, but when I changed the area to Raja Park, I eventually found it on page 15.
If I look at these 2 listings, the room that I searched for had a price that didn't seem out of line with its competitors. It was perhaps close to the mid-range of prices that came up. At the Apartment, price is probably keeping you from ranking higher - many of the listings that came up on page one for Raja Park, 4 guests, were almost half the price.
Your places look nicer than many of the others available, and I don't see any problems with your listings. I don't have much advice for you, other than to perhaps sit down (for quite a while, as you have many listings!) and search for each one in private mode until you find it, then lower the price a little (custom promotions work well) and see what effect it has in moving you higher. It's easiest to optimise the rank at the maximum guest count for that listing.
You will be able to do better, more detailed searches that I did, because you'll know what search terms guests are likely to use when they visit your area.
Hope it helps a bit - I can fully understand why you're frustrated about not ranking much higher!
