Hi all
I've been trying to set a promotion discount for the months of May through to the end of July. We want to offer a 10% discount if guests book to stay 4 nights or more. I have tried to set this up using the resources I found and the Help Desk, but all I succeeded in doing was changing our 2-night minimum stay to a 4-night minimum stay! We want to still be available for 2- and 3-night stays - they just won't get the discount.
Does anyone know how I can set up this promotion?

Hello @Barbara3757
You can have different minimum stays on your calendar by opting in for Airbnb's professional tools - it's free and now available to all hosts and gives us greater flexibility on our calendar. Here's a great guide on the subject:

Hello @Barbara3757
I realise I may not have answered your question fully so am including the Airbnb link on setting custom promotions and also why it may not be available for your listing:

Hi @Barbara3757,
It's fantastic to see that you found all the advice Joelle shared useful already!
Have you managed to setup the promotion you wanted, or do you have any more questions on the process?
Let us know either way please 😃
Thanks,
Emilie

Hi Emilie
Thanks for being in touch. I opted into Professional Tools, as recommended, and created a rule-set. But as before, the rule-set has removed the option of 2-night and 3-night stays. We want those shorter stays to still be possible!!! They just won't get the discount. With the rule-set applied, all dates are offered with a 4-night minimum stay. That is not what we want
Hello @Barbara3757
I have been on your calendar as a guest would see it and I can see that there is a default minimum stay of 2 days in May and June. Didn't look further than June. So guests can book 2 days or 3 days.
On the regular calendar, on the right make under Settings make sure you are on Pricing and not Availability :
==>Pricing
==>Discounts
==>More discounts
==>Trip length discounts
==>Select the trip length and add your discount
You can switch off pro tools if you don't like them by going into Account settings
Hope this helps

Hi Joelle
Thank u for checking 🙂 The reason you can see 2- and 3-day stays is probably because I took the rule-set off immediately! I too tried, on someone else's laptop, to book for 2 and 3 nights, and always got a warning that there was a 4-night minimum. Hence I cancelled the rule-set. But thank u very much for the info anyway - I will have another look sometime, as there may well be something I missed.
In the meantime, we have simply adjusted our pricing overall, to see whether that will bring in more guests.
All the best
Barbara
