Uploading passport pages for a host

My host in Japan requires the passport photo pages of the three members of our party. How do I upload these via AirBnb? What are the steps?

Use your phone to take a photo of the passport page with the picture and details.

It doesn’t need to be perfect, as long as the information is clearly readable. Just hold the passport and take a photo.

If you have access to a scanner, you can scan it for better quality, but a phone photo is usually fine. It’s a good idea to keep a copy of your passport on your phone anyway.

In the chat with the host, press the plus sign next to the text box.

There, you can upload the photo you took or press “Camera” to take a picture of the passport directly.
