What is this ?

About this space
THIS LISTING IS FOR PROOF ONLY, NO PHYSICAL PRESENCE POSSIBLE. For those who need proof of accommodation, travel etc. You cannot come and stay physically. You will receive a booking confirmation in your email (the proof). I will really appreciate the understanding guests who give me a 5 star review afterwards. It's win-win, thank you.

@Ben4524   This looks really dodgy indeed.  The host, who has a total of 19 listings,  seems to be 1) Touting for good reviews by offering proof that someone has stayed (when they have not) so they can claim travel expenses in return for giving the host a 5 star review…  2) The host moves on regarding his space in a rather nasty manner by letting guests know that if they do leave a bad review it will be ignored as he has so many good ones.  3) Many of his 19 listings fall extremely short of Airbnb’s Superhost requirements yet he is a Superhost?  Probably because he deletes, adds rooms to get those five star reviews as first mentioned.

@Catherine-Powell   Surely this is not in the spirit of things?  This looks really bad for Airbnb as it encourages fraud.

@Ben4524 @Kate867 There seem to be a large number of dormitory style listings in Paris. Many appear dodgy as they regularly change the listing name to 'lose' their bad reviews. This listing does seem to go one step further and not actually allow people to stay. I can't for the life of me figure out what the concept is. Perhaps it is some sort of immigration scam?

I don't see how the expenses scam works as the booking receipt will specify the cost which is surely all the guest can claim.

I do agree with Kate that Airbnb needs to look at these types of listing.

@Ben4524 That is horrifying. I just reported the listing. You can too. He needs to be kicked off AirBnB ASAP!
