Why am I not getting bookings?

Hello Community,

I opened my Airbnb in Lusaka Zambia in August this year, so far, I have only had 3 booking, I am wondering why I am not getting more bookings? Is there anything I am not doing right? How can I improve my presence on advertising platforms?

I had the same issue here. I believe it's a problem with the world economy. 

Last year I had a couple of weekend here and there

Nothing to complain as such.

This year I only had 3 bookings. People are not traveling I wish I could tell you what to do.

Same here but I believe during this time of the season people don’t travel. What I started doing is reducing my pricing and I have realized that it’s been helping a bit. Open to hearing what others are also doing.  @Alex

Congratulations!  Very Cute place.

Suggestions:

Pictures, keep the mindset STR renters only see the pictures unlike LTR they don't come in person to decide.  Your pictures should allow me to get a good visual idea of what I am picking.  Show me 3 bathrooms, show me 2 shower, show me spaces that I can picture my group of 4 relaxing and enjoying.  I want to image my week vacation in the space.

Also I don't suggest offering to share your bathroom in an Entire House Rental.  Guests seeking Entire House is not comfortable with sharing a private space with strangers.  You are strangers to them.

Your ad description was confusing bedrooms on main floor bedrooms upstairs, use my bathroom  so you don't have to go upstairs?  Confusing.

Identify your target market.  If a young family a flight of stairs to a 10 year old isn't usually a big deal.  Mention but focus on highlights for your target market.
