I received an Airbnb gift card from my kids for Christmas. When I went to scratch off the gray area by the PIN, the whole gray area came off in one piece like a sticker and tore away the paper area where the PIN was. Now I cannot read the entire PIN. After talking to someone with Airbnb, they sent me an e-mail address to send my request to. When I did, they sent me a response that they don't deal with gift cards bought at a retail establishment. They said I need to go back to the placed where it was purchased from. Today I went to Rite Aid where it was purchased from. Rite Aid told me that Airbnb needs to help me that it is their gift card and they cannot do anything to help me. So, now I am stuck. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Just wanted to leave a comment here saying that I had a similar issue! I reached out to airbnb support, got routed to the payments team. They responded after about 9 days with the full missing pin and let me know how much was on the card. Super happy to get my money back, kicking myself that I'm an idiot. If you have the same problem, I highly recommend that you reach out to support and be patient.
Can you provide the email address for the payments team? This is VERY frustrating!
Thank you for originally posting this, Chris! I am having the exact same issue. I am being told that I need to provide the Card#, partial PIN#, and receipt of purchase so they can provide the full PIN. Obviously I don't have the receipt of purchase because it is a GIFT card given as a GIFT!!! Extremely frustrating. Saving money on poor quality gift cards and as a bonus, they're not even redeemable! Win-win for AirBnB.
