I feel both your review of the host, as well as his response (which I agree is unprofessional) could've been phrased more politely and in a way that would've benefited future guests and hosts more @Christina2320 

As you know now, you need to ask about visitors first, and never tamper with security cameras (which are allowed in some areas if properly disclosed).

The host didn't do the listing any favours with the phrasing of the response - it will put off prospective guests.
