names in full of the incoming guests

Dear Community 

of late we have had a few reservations with just a partial name

as first name and only a last initial or a two letter name

this is odd 

should there not be a full name?

Guests can choose any name on there profile.

It is important ID is verified.

If you use professional tools (muliticalender) often real name is visible in prebooking process.

Airbnb rental hosts in the state of Oregon will no longer be able to see guests’ names before approving their bookings, according to a new plan announced by the company.

The policy update is specific to Oregon, for now, and was born out of a lawsuit in which three Black women from the Portland, Oregon, area alleged the rental site’s use of names and photographs allowed for racial discrimination, violating the state’s public accommodation laws.

Yesterday I could see full names of guests, current, previous and upcoming. This morning they are just initials. This is just an outrage. You have to give you full name when you book into a hotel. Even more important when you share someone's private home. I am in Virginia.
