Camera(s)

What do I need to know about cameras.  Can I have one in my bedroom to assure guest never enters my space.   How about having one in common area of kitchen living room.  🤔

No @Tamara1037 , this could get you into trouble with Airbnb

It would be better to lock your own bedroom with a regular or a smart lock.

Hi

is cameras allowed outside the house

like outside the front door

Yes @Sakeena1 , but you have to disclose them in the right place on your listing. It's best to take a look at the link above to make sure you're within the Airbnb rules.

Yes for your bedroom as long as it's not pointing to any other area in the home and do lock your door at night.  No cameras for the shared areas inside. Outside cameras must be disclosed.

Can you link to the Airbnb guidance that says you can have cameras in locked rooms inside your home @Mandrake-And-Karen0

Sorry, we don't use cameras at all so I don't know where to find a link.  I was referring to a camera being only in host's bedroom not pointing outside their bedroom or in the rest of the shared spaces.

Ah  - you stated 'yes for your bedroom as long as it's not pointing to any area in the home' implying this was an agreed part of Airbnbs camera policy.

i don't believe you are correct
