Hi there,
I was wandering if anyone could recommend a digital key lock box that can be controlled remotely via an app.
Thanks
Jamie
@Jamie1262 I am in the US and the only ones I know of are used by Realtors and they are not without issue.
Is there a reason you can't use a Smartlock? Many of those can be controlled remotely. I use Yale locks witha Vera or Ezlo hub that I can add and delete codes remotely.
Hi @Karen114
Thanks for your response.
I am going to measure, but I don't think the door hardware will be appropriate for the thin doors at the villa entry
Kind regards

Hi .@Jamie1262
I am looking at a key lock box as well for our rental property which is over 3 hours' drive out of Adelaide. I looked up the Master Lock 5441ENT Bluetooth lock box that Alicia753 suggested, but that particular one has been discontinued.
In my searching I have found the Loqee Smart Keybox - Fingerprint and Keyless Entry Key Safe Model SDL-KB1 on the smartdoorlocks.com.au website for $249.99.
To me, this looks like the best one I have found so far and 100% Australian owned and operated.
The reviews on it are good too.
Hope this suggestion helps.
Regards, Michelle.
Hi Jamie,
Another great option is the Master Lock 5441ENT Bluetooth Lock Box. This digital lock box allows you to control access remotely via the Master Lock Vault eLocks app. You can send temporary or permanent access codes to guests, making it ideal for Airbnb hosting. It is durable, weather-resistant, and widely available internationally, including in Australia.
The Yale Smart Lock Box is another excellent choice. Yale is a trusted brand with a strong presence worldwide. This lock box connects to an app, enabling you to grant access remotely, track usage, and manage PIN codes.
Both options offer reliable remote access control and are suitable for Airbnb properties. These brands are also readily available through global retailers and Australian distributors.
I hope this helps.
All the best,
Upfish Management
Thanks Alicia
Is the Master Lock system just bluetooth or bluetooth and wifi?
Kind regards
Jamie
Hi @Alicia753 ,
Is it also possible to use the Master Lock Vault eLocks app to create a code where you can enter exact times and dates? For example, Friday afternoon 3pm to Sunday morning 10am? And that you then get the code that you can send to the guest? I have the safe, but I am still not succeeding and the helpdesk is not responding.
I hope you can help me!
Kind regards

@Jamie1262. Have you tried a Schlage smartlock? (I use Encode). I know they are designed to replace standard knob style holes - on this site it says Door thickness: 35mm to 46mm

I am using the Schlage smartlock and it is great. Very reliable. App is easy to use.
Thanks Alistair & Jenny
Looks like I'll be trying the Schlage
Kind regards
Jamie
Thanks Frances
I'll buy one and try it out
