Has anyone found themselves in the wrong categtory.?

HI all......it was brought to my attention by @Elaine701 that ABnB has me in farms.  I can not Thank her enough for going to the trouble to look for me.  I called CS, not much help there, even emailed me to say they THINK I'm in the right category, seems to me I'd know whether I live on a farm.  They've taken the photo I have in my listing of the horses around the corner from me.  I love those guys and shared them as a landmark to how close they are to arriving at my place, it's obvious NO ONE at ABnB bothered to read the caption.  Sent a private message to @AdminStephanie and still waiting to hear back.  Boy when things go to crap, they really go fast.

@Wende2  The admins have had the unenviable task of passing along the absolutely appalling message that Airbnb does not trust its hosts to select the categories they will be featured in. Instead, they have decided that the entire Category selection process will be determined by the brave new world of "machine learning," also known as an algorithm so dumb that it if it were a human it would probably be either sent back to kindergarten or given a prime time slot on Fox News.

@Anonymous...Fox news LOL.

It seems pretty counterproductive to have us call and tell them which ones we should be in.  I looked again and didn't see me in farms.  I'm putting myself in the vrbo category today.

@Wende2  Calling them is always counterproductive.

There's a whole other way they could have done categories by letting hosts manually input the relevant ones and override the irrelevant ones. But someone in an office in San Francisco decided that their laptop is a better judge of what a farm is than the people who live on them.

@Anonymous   What is asinine to me, that a photo at random was picked.  But then to have the nerve to tell me they think I'm in the right category, that really takes the cake.

I received  an email this morning, first time ever something like this, obvious an AI brain sent it.  They wanted to know if my problem was solved from my conversation I started...

Who do we blame when we no longer have enough bookings for superhost.?

mentioned I had several replies, had a link with all the replies so I could read them.  What on earth, guess the word blame told them I had a problem, ironic tho, they're the problem.

Hi @Wende2

I'm sorry to hear your listing was appearing in the wrong category! I understand you've already talked to the Support team, however I thought it might be worth mentioning that the process has recently evolved and that if you contact them now, they will be able to look into this for you. I'll nudge them on this for you. 🙂

Thanks,

Emilie

@Emilie   Hello......I think they have finally removed me.  I could be in countryside and National Parks tho.  I'm 5 minutes from Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and The Harriett Tubman Museum (National Parks Service).  I would appreciate any help in having my listing added to both of those categories.  It's been unbelievably disappointing that my bookings dropped to none since these new updates were implemented, would be nice if they realized just how screwed many of are now.

Thanks for reaching out.  Have a nice day.
