Hi, I am a tenant and yesterday I saw a mouse, but couldn't find a way to get full refund.
Address: **
Host: **
Co-host: **
Issue: I saw a mouse in my room and in the kitchen.
Time: August 7th, 2023
What I did: I set up a camera to record it at night.
Evidence(see the stove, I also have the complete video on Google Drive)
Totally I paid 669.70 CAD, but Airbnb only has the option of "Enter an amount no more than $494.99 CAD". Yesterday I contacted the host and co-host, but at that time I didn't have the proof, they said they will send exterminator to check.
Until this morning I finally got the 100% true evidence, and messaged them, both of them kept silent completely, didn't reply anything. So far I don't see any exterminator.
According to Airbnb policy, it is possible to get full refund in this case. Additionally, I spent a lot of time and energy just for handling this problem and getting evidence. Extra $50 is necessary.
How and where to request for full refund?

The host can only refund the rest of the days, which is wrong, August 7th there was a mouse, but he refused to refund for that day. I lived with the mouse and he still charged me full price for that day.
The host and co-host were ghosted for more than 12 hours, didn't reply to my message, but when I mentioned "If I don't receive any reply in the next 2 hours, I need to report to Airbnb directly, social media and news media as well.", both of them showed up immediately.
Am I right, **?

I just saw another mouse in my room.
@Hongyu6 If you do not call Airbnb, ask them to cancel the rest of your stay and find somewhere else then you will see mice I am afraid. The words 'put up or shut up' spring to mind I am afraid.
I am serious, my room is full of mouse smell.
I booked a hotel and will check out tomorrow morning.
Airbnb resolution: 30% refund for the 3 nights affected by this issue + refund for the nights that you aren’t spending
And they provided me with a coupon worth CA$134.
The host violated the Airbnb policy, confirmed by Airbnb. They failed to provide a clean environment to guests.
They only agreed to refund the rest of days if I leave, this also violated the Airbnb policy. Guests are under the protection of AirCover.
The host and co-host handled this mice issue inappropriately. Officially confirmed.
@Hongyu6 Sorry but you are wrong. If a guest is happy enough to stay in a property then the host does not need to fully refund you. You seem convinced that you can stay somewhere for free which just is not correct.
Read other comments before replying. There is more information there.
I didn't say that, Airbnb said that. I had a phone call with Airbnb support yesterday, do not argue with me for this point.
Who said that I am happy enough to stay? I don't know why you assumed that I wanted to stay but still asked for refund. Not like that at all.
I am a foreigner in this city looking for work, I have luggage. This mice issue occupied a lot of my time. Hotels nearby were fully booked. Do you think it is that easy to leave?
I already wrote similar things in other comments, I don't want to repeat the same thing. You should read that first.
Who wants to stay at a place with at least 2 mice?
it should be free there's a mouse in the rental buddy. would you pay to stay with a mouse? 🤔
Same thing with me and my rental. Good luck to anyone trying to get a refund even with a mouse and all the proof in the world. I don't know how they do it but they do. That's why I AVOID AIRBNB AT ALL COSTS
