Reservation Reminders - annoying and so far out they are confusing

The original post stating how annoying reservation reminders was 2016 - here we are now in 2022.  6 Years on. Still no way to turn off  types of reminders without turning them all off.  I am expecting a new guest in 2 days time - so WHY send me a reminder email today for the following reservation  which is 8 days away.

SOOO annoying.

Yes, the reminders are sent to early, so then it is not a reminder but an annoying message.

Maybe Airbnb should add a setting to choose how many days upfront the host wants to receive such a reminder.

My schedule is more skewed so I go to bed at 2 but wake up at 9. Those messages coming in early in the morning are super annoying

Not to mention the recently (or relatively new) implemented notifications that come at all hours to remind you "Guest xyz" is checking in today. Make sure they have everything they need." Really? If a host needs to be reminded that a guest is checking in, perhaps hosting is not something they should be doing.

Plus, these notifications come at random times from as early as 5am to as late as 10am.

So today I had a situation when I suppose I have to be thankful for multiple ABNB reminders - I woke up in the morning to the next guest's text "We are arriving by car around 2-3PM"

And I immidiately realized that I have not sent booking information to my property manager!

So I panicked, started emailing and sending texts on whatsap .... just to realize few minutes later that guests will arrive TOMORROW!

So, @Suzanne302 - I am that host you are referring to LOL

P.S. On a serious note, to avoid this kind of situation, I always send screenshot of spreadsheet with all bookings to my managers just in case I forget to do something.

What a day 🙂
