unfortunately we do not have a property that is accessible. We are on a second story, stairs only, and driveway is gravel.

Hoi bij ons is het ingang geen probleem met rollades. Wij hebben vrijstaande bungalow villa. Bij ons kun je via ingang dat is ongeveer 90 cm breed. En als je via veranda naar binnen gaat is het meer dan 2 m breedte alleen als je de slaapkamer wil binnengaan, dat is vijf trap met handvaten maar op aanvraag. Omdat onze woonkamer groot is kunnen we eenpersoonsbed in de woonkamer neerzetten. Wc is ook geen probleem op de gelijk Flur is de ingang van de wc ook groot en dat is ongeveer 87 cm breed. Douche kamer is ook vrij groot. Dat is het douchen is ook geen probleem in de douche kun je bij ons gaan zitten.groetjes Meyra

Hi, for us the entrance is no problem with roasts. We have a detached bungalow villa. At our place, you can enter through the entrance, which is about 90 cm wide. And if you go in via the veranda, it is more than 2 meters wide, but only if you want to enter the bedroom; that involves five steps with handrails, but on request. Because our living room is large, we can put a single bed in the living room. The toilet is also no problem; on the ground floor, the entrance to the toilet is also large and is about 87 cm wide. We have ramps going up onto the back deck and the deck is sloped to get to the back bedroom.    It's great if someone is in a wheelchair, uses a walker, or just has a heavy suitcase!

Yes, when we built the deck we designed the ramps in.  When we bought our current home it had a ramp and I thought, oh old people.  BUT, we used it all the time and when we replaced the deck built in a ramp instead of steps.  Win, total win when moving furniture & appliances,  its fabulous.  Saves time and is safer for the movers!  I like my husbands back just like it is 🙂

Hi Paula,

My family completely supports and encourages the principles of inclusion, belonging, and respect so we are open to having neurodivergent guests in our house. (Does that count?)  Having said that, sometimes it's not possible to have a house with accessibility accommodations for people with physical disabilities. In our case, we live in a very old part of Toronto on a hill with 30 stairs up.

Hi Paula

Unfortunately we are unable to make the cottage more accessible. To reach the cottage you have to go down a steep public footpath with lots of steps and no handrail. We are not able to do anything here as it is public property. The cottage itself is very old and small and right on the beach. We do provide a grab rail in the shower.
