You’ve told us that managing reservations from home or on the go could be easier and more consistent. As we did with changes to your reservations list, we’ve listened to your feedback, studied hosts’ concerns raised with the community-support team, and run research studies to understand how we could improve your experience. Here’s a sneak peek of upcoming changes built on your input.

 

Consistent information wherever you go

Soon, whether you’re managing reservations on the Airbnb app or website, you’ll have the same set of reservation details available. What’s more, anywhere you see a reservation—in your calendar, the message thread, your dashboard, or your reservations list—you’ll be able to take action right from that screen, which means it will be faster and more efficient for you to handle each reservation.

We’re giving you more specific information about the status of each reservation. And you’ll also get more details about the guest associated with each reservation without having to click into their profile. You’ll know how long they’ve been on Airbnb, what languages they speak, and if they’re a host like you, so you can make confident booking decisions and interact with your guests efficiently and quickly, all from one screen.

 

More payment details

You’ve told us that you wanted your expected payout dates to be even more visible. Numerous hosts called our  community support team about this, so we made sure payout dates were easier to find. We’ve added a link to your transaction history and expected payout dates alongside every reservation.

 

Answers to your frequently asked questions, right where you need them

By studying the types of questions that come up most often for inquiries and reservations, we’ve been able to anticipate what answers might be most helpful to you based on the reservation you’re currently managing. We’ve added links to reservation-specific FAQs at the bottom of every reservation so you can get the information you need, when you need it.

 

More consistent tools and views

Previously, if you had Instant Book turned on for a listing, you could only hold dates when you pre-approved a guest on the website. Now you can do so in the app too. And the private notes feature, which was previously available only in the calendar, is now available anywhere you see a reservation.

 

All these improvements are coming your way in the next few months, and we hope they help make quick work of managing your reservations. Thanks to all the hosts who gave us feedback and joined focus groups. Let us know what you think of these changes and others you’d like to see.

Here is an example of how we personally cohost.  I am a property owner and a co host for two other properties.  we all have busy lives and some manage their properties from a distance.  I am a cohost to help  those other people get their homes listed and booked as well as communication with the guests, cleaners, snow plowers etc when the host is traveling or in need of assistance.    When those owners are traveling for business or personal reasons, we help a guest at the moment the reply or help is needed.  This method not only increases the 5 star ratings we all get, since the responce is quick and efficient, but allows us all to share ideas and help each other with our properties.  I love cohosting in the VERMONT area and my knowledge has helped other home owners earn extra income and learn the ins and outs of hosting, especially when they felt overwhelmed.   When Air BNB took away the cohost payment, it just created more work for us as owners and cohosts.  I wish they would bring it back.

At first glance, I am not AT ALL happy with the way you have changed the reservations page.  You have a tendency to always want to change something that works PERFECTLY well!!  At the very least, please please restore the possibility of tracking what the HOST has said to the client in previous posts.  PLEASE! I can't possibly remember my answers to their questions of 3 weeks, one month, or 4 months ago;  I can't remember whether I sent check-in details first time they enquired -- or not.  I tried hard just then to see how much I have told clientWalsh, and CANNOT find our previous correspondence.

Really bad change - I can't see how much the cleaning fee is any longer - please fix this!

NO MORE TRANSPARENCY OF PRICEBREAKDOWN FOR HOST AND GUEST when wanting to do SPECIAL OFFER fo example

ABSOLUTELY DISSATISFACTORY AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL - THE CONTRARY 

 

You took away total transparency and the ability to adjust the special offer and in the same time see the pricebreakdown per day from the hosts perspective in his/her currency as well as the pricebreakdown of the guests in their respective currency - this was necesarry if you did onboard offline customers or customers who booked on other venues and you shifted them on to Airbnb as an example 

 

THIS IS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL - in a world where things become more transparent - you take away transparency 

 

Many Villa owners in Bali feel the same as i do - you are about to lose a whole community here

Not sure what airbnb has changed, but suddenly I am told that I did accept a reservation late last night and I am so sure I didn't do so. This make me loose the control.

I lost the opportunity to import  the agenda details to my Google agenda. Normally i click on details.  Now nothing happens.

In case of two different bookings of the same guest, it would be great to be able to see  the details of both bookings in the messaging section (right now only the last booking is visible in the messaging section).

I really miss that the calender is not on the reply page anymore... extra step and time to pull up the calender!!

Good afternoon,

 

I actually miss seing details of the amount to pay when sending a special offer in the new version. I don't see how much the guest will pay (in his own currency) anymore and I used to check it when defining a special offer price. Any chance that will come back?
