Meet the new Reservations List — inspired by you

Reservations Page Article.jpg

You’ve told us that the Reservations List is an important tool for managing your listing on Airbnb, so we want to make sure it has the functionality you need. We asked hosts in the Community Center how you use the Reservations List and what improvements you’d like to see. Then we redesigned the page from the ground up, incorporating some of your feedback.

Here are some of the improvements you can expect:

Easier access: Many of you told us that the Reservations List had become difficult to find. To address this, we added a direct link to the main navigation at the top of your page (to the right of Inbox). Now, you can access your reservations anytime, without having to bookmark the page.

Better navigation: As we added information to the Reservations List over the years, it became difficult to scan quickly for the details you wanted. So we moved some of the information around to make the page cleaner and more intuitive.

The most important information is listed in the columns. Click the Details button in the right column to open a full-page view of the reservation, including the payout breakdown, additional guests (if applicable), cancellation policy, and more. We also redesigned the page to be more printer-friendly so that your downloadable reports are easier to read.

Sort and filter functions: We added sort and filter capabilities to give you more ways to view your list of reservations. You can now view your reservations by Upcoming or All, as well as sort by booked dates. We’ll continue to add sorting and filtering functionality, so watch for more updates.

Downloadable Reservations List: Your Reservations List is now more portable. By popular demand, we’ve introduced a brand new export functionality. Now you can export your entire Reservations List as a comma-separated values (CSV) file, which you can open in Excel or another spreadsheet app.

More accessible calendar syncing: The calendar syncing function is now easier to find under the Export menu in the upper right of your Reservations List. You can export your reservations to any calendar that uses the iCalendar format, such as Google Calendar.

Consolidated follow-up menu: You still have all of the follow-up actions available that you can take on a specific reservation, including Call, Email, or Cancel. We moved these functions to a submenu that you can access by clicking the three dots to the right of the Details button. On this menu you’ll also find the reservation number and VAT invoices (if applicable), so that they’re always easily on hand.

Ongoing feedback: We want your continued input so that we can keep improving the Reservations List, so we included a feedback module on the page. You can submit your ideas anytime for making the Reservations List even more powerful.

Stay tuned for more changes as we continue updating the Reservations List!

I need multiple counters back! I am not as impressed with the list. It’s OK future but nothing compared to the multiple counters. I’ve worked on many reservation systems for hotels etc. and they all use a Calendar system. Why would you decide to remove such a valuable tool?  Please please please with sugar on top bring multi calendars back! Thank you

Multiple CALENDARS not counters.  Lol AutoCorrect has changed my words.

Great that hosts will now be able to see reservations in date order. Before then you had to scroll around. Thanks everyone

This is great. However we still need

Airb&b to create a default section to charge and collect at the time of booking the appropriate taxes for the State and local taxes, it is not that complicated. It will save time and effort tp your support team to have to constantly explain that those taxes must be paid.

We trust that this point will be addressed.

Airbnb you did a beautiful job with the new reservation page!    Wow, nice improvement!

I have only been hosting for 7 months.   The learning curve has been a bit of a challenge.  But I will say I am impressed with your dedication to your hosts and improvements to the website.

Great to hear good feedback from other host.. Thanks for listening to host's voice for improvement.. But.. Agreed with Tina.. Improve the mobile Apps version as well..

I have only Mobile Apps.. I have Mac book which is also runs mobile apps. Therefore I do not have desktop access.. Can we have those improvements in mobile apps as well?

Also would like to request passed history message & details viewable in mobile apps.

Many Thanks!

Christine

Well, that explains it! thanks Christine. I’ve been looking for the ‘ new’ format since I heard about it and was just about to update the apps again as I had not noticed any difference. I agree that the mobile pps need the update, I hate having different views and ways to do things depending on what I’m using and these days there are lots of people that barely use a anything other than mobile platforms.

cheers,

Pilar

Is it just me, or have we lost access to the guest email. When clicking on email guest - our computer brings up an empty tab in google chrome with no other information. We really liked that the email address was immediately present to us at all times for an easy copy and paste. Now it is gone and our best choice to communicate with guests on the details of their upcoming trip is gone. Please bring back access to an actual email address.

Ok, after messing with the (better than ever new system) I finally found the guest's email address or at least a place I could copy it. On the new reservation page, if you right click the EMAIL GUEST it will bring up a drop box giving you the option to copy email address. So relieved that I found this. Not sure why the helpline folks didn't tell me this. They kept saying just click on the three dots and then the EMAIL - no one ever mentioned right clicking.
