Recognizing Superhosts

The Superhost program celebrates and rewards Airbnb’s top-rated and most experienced hosts.

Every 3 months, we review host performance over the past year to see who meets the Superhost criteria. Those who do earn special recognition, dedicated Airbnb Support, and exclusive rewards.

This quarter, we recognized hosts who earned or maintained Superhost status. Congratulations—thanks for everything you do for your guests, and the extra effort you bring to every stay!

Whether you’re a new or longtime Superhost, we want to hear from you. What helped you reach this achievement? How did you go above and beyond for your guests?

Share your insights in the comments to inspire and support other hosts.

Hi, I canceled a reservation made in November 25  for an error I made in pricing.  The reservation was for June  of 26. Because of that, I could not obtain super host status. Since this is reviewed every three months I don’t understand why a cancellation made back in November is still being held against me as a reason to deny me Superhost status when I have met all the criteria.  I don’t understand that kind of a policy. Can you explain that? thanks

I am in my first year hosting a intercoastal front home at Ormond by the Sea.  I have been personally asking my guest for some of the experiences they are looking for before arrival.  We consistently learned that fishing, beach days, biking and shell hunting.  So we now have 4 bikes, beach chairs, cooler, basic fishing tackle and special basket of beach towels that our guests can use at no extra charge.

We are focused on making their time at our home better than any hotel!!!

Hi @Bobby347 , it’s wonderful to see how you tailor amenities as per guest interests.

Is there any specific amenity that you've added especially after guest feedback?

Hi Bhumika,

Yes,  I had my bikes locked up and a guest asked to use them.  So  now have 4 bikes, beach chairs, cooler, basic fishing tackle and special basket of beach towels that our guests can use at no extra charge.  Outstanding results!

That's amazing @Bobby347! Have you noticed an increase in positive reviews since then?😍

Hello, my experience with Airbnb has been fantastic. We have a very special place to stay; we didn't renovate it specifically for this purpose, but now we're delighted and dedicated to making guests feel at home. Every little detail is important to us. I like to provide what I expect when I travel, so we have bicycle parking for maintenance and cleaning. This is important when traveling by bike, and it's not easy to find. In short, we're delighted to offer our accommodation, El Altillo, in Haro, La Rioja, Spain. Greetings to all!

Superhost Rewards Can Be Better — We Deserve Better

After 15 consecutive quarters as a Superhost, I would like to start a constructive discussion about the Superhost reward program.

My main suggestion is very simple:

Superhost rewards should accumulate and not expire.

In most loyalty programs—airlines, hotels, banks, and membership clubs—rewards accumulate over time. Long-term loyalty is recognized and rewarded.

As Superhosts, we work continuously throughout the year. We answer messages, solve problems, maintain properties, welcome guests, and invest significant time and money to provide great experiences. Our effort does not expire, so it seems reasonable that our rewards should not expire either.

The current $100 reward is appreciated, but in many popular destinations it is often not enough to cover even one night's stay. If rewards accumulated, they would become much more useful and meaningful.

My second suggestion is that Airbnb could offer additional practical benefits for long-term Superhosts, such as:

•transferable to family

.Promotional boosts and marketing tools to help increase listing visibility
• Reduced Airbnb guest service fees when Superhosts travel and book other Airbnb properties
• Other benefits that recognize long-term commitment to the platform

I have shared this idea several times during my years with Airbnb, but I have never received any feedback on it.

I believe this is a topic that will become increasingly important, especially for hosts who have maintained Superhost status for many consecutive years.

What do other hosts think?

Would you support:

Accumulating Superhost rewards instead of expiring rewards?
Additional practical benefits for long-term Superhosts?
Both?

I would love to hear your views
