AirBnB Do Better

AirBnB Do Better

Don't worry about the $27 refund you offered for a $164 hotel stay due to your host cancelling my reservation. You have explained that I need to provide my tax information in order to receive the $27. That is absolutely absurd. I will not provide you with my tax documents to get $27. That is revealing my personal information that is not any of Airbnb's business and I should not have even been asked to do that. This was not an issue on my end or on my part. Not to mention I have to wait 15 business days to be refunded my original stay. This was a complete waste of my time and to be honest it has deferred me from ever using Airbnb again. While I do understand that things happen and host can't help, but to be put into this situation the night before my travel begins and to be drug through this type of process is absolutely inconvenient and Airbnb should do better. My company uses Airbnb daily. We just spent over $15000 on Airbnb bookings yesterday alone. This will also stop once I get the word of how things really are when it comes to a Host cancelling and refunding the money. I hope this sits well with whoever this reaches. Thanks for doing absolutely nothing to try and make this easier or convenient. I wanted to share with the community on how things operate behind closed doors so if anyone has an issue with a host cancelling, this is what you get in response from AirBnB.
