Airbnb Needs to Add an "On the River" or "Riverfront" Search Option

Hi all, our new Airbnb listing is located on the banks of the Shenandoah River in Shenandoah, Virginia, with beautiful river views and private river access. However, when I created the Airbnb listing for it (not yet published - waiting for the photos), in the "stand out amenities" list the only water access features offered by Airbnb are "beach access" or "lake access." There is no "river access" option, even though there are a countless number of airbnbs on rivers across the globe(!) and guests who want to rent them(!).

Should I select "lake access" as a stand out amenity, so that our property to be included in the search results of guests seeking water access (the title and description states our Airbnb is a riverfront property and that guests will have river access)? Otherwise, I don't see a way to indicate to guests searching for a waterfront property that our riverfront Airbnb will be included in their search results. Thoughts? TIA!

Multiple Hosts with riverfront properties have asked for this as well. See this thread:

Airbnb just recently removed categories from guest searches by location...so it's kinda moot point at the moment. Not sure if they will restore that feature, but I'm doubtful.

Do not select "Lake Access" as that is not an accurate description of the property and you could get a guest to complain the listing is not accurate and get a refund from Airbnb.

Thanks for the update and great advice, Joan! I won't select lake access.
