The new calendar settings for hosts are simply terrible. It's unclear what's happening over at AirBnB on the product side that's leading their product to actually be degrading instead of improving.
With all the changing regulations happening town by town such as maximum annual rental days, minimum rental days during certain times of year, etc., AirBnB should be making their settings MORE flexible (or at least leaving them as they are) not less.
For example, they used to allow setting check-in, check-out day for specific days / time periods, setting minimum/maximum days for specific time periods, etc.. So, if you want weekly Saturday turnover during high season, but any-day check-in off-season, you could do it. But no longer. You can only universally set check-in and check-out days, and can no longer set maximum stay restrictions. Setting minimum days is also now much more cumbersome.
It feels like each year VRBO gets better at product management, steadily improving functionality, and AirBnB at the same time gets steadily worse... adding features that don't work well with their legacy codebase. And, each year, I get more and more bookings via VRBO vs. AirBnB, to where it's harder to justify working with their increasingly poor user interface.
Is anyone else having the same experience? Am I alone in thinking that AirBnB Product is asleep at the wheel?
