Calendar blocked out by Booking.com

My property has been listed both on Airbnb and Bookings.com for the past year.

 

Recently my Airbnb calendar has started showing completely booked out by Bookings.com from August 2025 and one year ahead till August 2026. I have to manually open it every day, only for it to show blocked again the next morning. 

 

On Booking.com, the calendar is correctly synced between that platform and Airbnb. Has anyone else experienced something similar and found a permanent solution?

Thank you all for your support and suggestions. I seem to have solved the issue by unlinking the calendars on Airbnb and Booking.com and then getting new url-codes to link them again. This morning everything is OK – fingers crossed it stays that way!

Hi Helen, 

 

I have followed the instructions for how to sync calendars between Booking.com and Airbnb. This has worked fine for about a year, and suddenly just before Christmas last year this blocking issue arose.

Ah in which case you would need to give Airbnb Customer Services a call. @Lars376 

 

you could also look on the Airbnb Help website under this topic in case the instructions have changed ?

It doesn't seem the instructions have changed. And the calendar on Booking.com is perfectly fine – syncing with Airbnb bookings and not blocking any dates that have not been booked.

 

I guess I will have to give the customer service a go. Thank you @Helen3

Just curious...do you have your Airbnb calendar and your Booking.com calendar set for the same availability window?

Just a heads up, I have seen the calendar sync stop working between Airbnb and Vrbo for some strange reason (we don't use booking.com). It has happened twice as I recall. On one listing we used instant book and another we were request to book. We did get a double booking on the instant book listing. Had to cancel the double booking. We turned off instant book for about a week and after much wrangling with Vrbo and Airbnb finally got it fixed. The synce between Vrbo & Airbnb has not worked correctly since though, in that it creates a calendar conflict everytime someone books (shows red on the Vrbo calendar instead of the normal color assigned for Airbnb). Can't seem to get Vrbo or Airbnb interested in fixing it though. Neither has a real incentive to help a competitor with their calendar functionality. Since that listing didn't get many bookings on Vrbo, my suggestion was to turn off instant book on Vrbo and leave Airbnb on instant book.
