In Need of Help

Hi All, 

  My Wife and I have a timeshare on the Island of Kauai, Hawaii. It's a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo, we have two weeks which we can split up. This year we have Thanksgiving and Christmas but we can't make it. We are looking for so assistance in getting it rented for those weeks. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated !! We have never done this before.

@Justin1355 Kauai has some pretty strict laws concerning permits for short term rentals, so before listing anything online I'd definitely want to make sure it's legal first. But that aside, I'm not sure it's worthwhile to set up a new Airbnb listing just for a rental of one or two weeks. Savvy guests prefer to book properties with an established reputation and reviews, and bookings for major holidays carry the biggest risk for parties, disruption, and damage, which you'd be in no position to keep under control.

Instead of taking that gamble, I'd be more inclined to offer those timeshare slots to trusted friends or family members - for a reasonable price or, better yet, as a really awesome Christmas gift to someone you love who really needs a vacation.
