Internet Wifi Speed Check Inaccurate

I have tested the AIRBNB speed test ran by measurement labs. At my AIRBNB location in Alabama, they are pulling from a server all the way in Charleston, US. This runs a speed test of around 300mbps. When I run a speed test on speedtest.net, it pulls from the nearest server right next to our AIRBNB rental which is New Hope, Alabama. This runs a speed test of 915mbps. I am paying for 1000mbps here and I had the technician test it with his meter and he gets the same as speedtest.net. Airbnb needs to fix this issue or just don't show a speed at all on the listing, just label it as FAST SPEED INTERNET. Thank you and I hope this helps the platform.

Yes...we noticed this as well. Many Hosts opt to just post a screen shot of the speed test app results in photos. However, you loose the "fast Wi-Fi callout" on the listing page.

I was very glad to read your post this morning as I recently rechecked my fibre/internet speed using the Airbnb parameter and found that it is way down what it was a year ago and unfortunately cannot put it back to what it was.  I will test it again using an independent speed test!
