Linens

Hello fellow, host.  I am wondering if anybody has any good ideas regarding linen. I have a three bedroom, and I can’t seem to keep up with the linen in the sense of washing. After each check out I just seem to get very overwhelmed by the different weights of linen I have purchased. I have a king bed and a queen bed and a full size bed.

Hi @Azucena47 ! I want to second what @Fred13 says here.

I have 2 sets of sheets for each bed and just change the sheets back and forth between listings so I don't have to wait for them to wash during a turn around. I don't have a 3rd set for every bed but I do have a few emergency/backup sheets just in case that can be swapped in if needed.

@Azucena47 Firstly you need lots of spare sets to take the urgency out of washing. We used to do our own linen when we just had a 3 bed apartment but it was always a rush. We now use a local launderette as we have a 3 bed, a 2 bed and a 1 bed apartment. Life is much easier!

Thank you very much. I appreciate your advice.

You have a 2-day minimum, that suggest having at least 3 sets of everything: one being used, another being washed and the 3rd to eliminate any pressure to have to be ready in only 2 days.

I purchased a high capacity washer with a quick cycle and without an agitator.

I wash all size sheets together, then wash all quilts and blankets together.

I put quilts on clothes line and blankets and towels in dryer.

I have at least three sets of sheets for each bed. Wash sheets last, and sometimes I leave clean sheets or towels in the dryer if I run out of time. I provide a Collapsable laundry basket for folks to place any clean laundry in if they need to use the washer and dryer.
