I must have edited and saved my descriptions three thousand times in the las six months, only to have them intermittently revert back to previous versions.
This failure to update the information is confusing guests and causing a headache for me as I have to constantly ask all of the people who book if they understand that the apartment is now a shared space.
This is not a problem with the save button being greyed out or invisible, as reported by others; the save button is green but the changes don't stick.
Also, I did follow the advice on the page urging users to press save for every single edit of every single text box on the page. I know how to edit a text box and save my changes. This is a problem with AIR BNB.
I have had several people book and then cancel due to the wrong information.
Of course I have contaced Air BNB about this, but they never got back to me. And, this is the second time I have entered this into the community - the first time there was an error!
My listing is doing the same. Vital information not getting to guests as a result. It even shows changes on listing page, but different text when you click on the description.
Perhaps it is because of a vetting process? I have no idea, but it’s incredibly annoying when circumstances change and you wish to convey this information to potential guests because they show up having read old data - like “you’ve got the whole place to yourself” but they don’t - because although you changed it, Air BNB shows them the old text! Fix it please AirBNB - it’s only been two years!
My listing is doing the same. Like you, I know how to edit and save. But the listing keeps reverting to our initial placeholder text. AirBnB needs to deal with this glitch in the software, methinks...
