I had an incredibly packed summer and fall and now, nothing. I knew things would decrease but not fall off entirely. I've add...
I noticed a new listing label "X-min walk to the beach. This home is by ... Beach" recently. There are a couple of issues with this:
I haven't had any new bookings in almost two weeks which is atypical.
Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue? What have you done to resolve this?
Thank you for letting me know! I've also submitted my feedback, as well as contacted Support and was told that:
"I've escalated this matter to our technical team for further investigation, which may take 1-2 weeks or more."
Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.
@Judith1031. I'm still getting bookings but we are coming into pleasant weather here. We are 600m to the Pacific Ocean and as Australia is the world's largest island I get that Airbnb may want to promote something other than our sandy beaches but they seem to have trouble reading our maps. 😉
That's great you're still getting bookings @Frances3408 😃
Yeah getting accurate local information is tricky, I wish Airbnb would layer some human verification, maybe from both hosts and guests, on top of the auto-generated data.
Looks like Airbnb removed the "proximity to points of interest" feature from my listing as well as from some other listings nearby that I eyeballed.
Hopefully I'll start getting bookings again 😇
I may have spoken to soon, the issue has reared its head again (See screenshots).
HI, what did they have to do to remove "proximity to points of interest ?
Its a crapshoot when we call support for those things. I am on the beach! it auto generates a 10 minute walk.
I have the same issue.
My house is at 8 minute walking distance from the main beach of my neighborhood, but it’s highlighting a smaller beach that has a 20 minute walk over a steep hill.
Since the location near the beach is one of the most important features of the property it very frustrating I can’t change this.
Yea we are a 2 minute walk in side a beach front resort and airbnb or the map calculates a beach near by.
The proximity feature is a fail. It highlights a drive to the national park, that no locals go to.
