Minimum nights booking settings have changed without my doing?

Hi,

I have a minimum two night booking requirement for guests.  It has always been this way.  I have just had a guest book for one night and I see my settings have been changed.

Can you assist with how this could of happened please?

I have messaged the guest immediately and informed about the two night minimum but have since read I will be penalised if I cancel this booking?

Help!

@Louise979

Whenever there is a system error that results in an unexpected booking, I immediately contact CS and explain the problem.  I do not cancel the reservation myself.  Call Air BNB.

@Linda108 Thanks so much for your reply.  Lucky for me the guest decided to book the extra night and it was easily sorted.  Bit concerning however that important settings changed.  Whats the best way to call customer service?  I can't find their number.  Thanks.  Louise

@Louise979  Hosts have often reported that many of their settings have mysteriously changed on their own. I don't know if this is just a matter of tech glitches, or whether it's something intentional and nefarious Airbnb does, as the setting changes always seem to be advantageous to guests.

In any case, it seems to be crucial these days to check your settings every few days, if not daily.

Thanks for the heads up @Sarah977.  I will certainly keep a better watch.  Haven't had a problem like this before and I've been a host for over 2 years.
