Hi All
Does anyone else think the new calendar is horrendous?
Closed nights lightly shaded so hard to see. Full month doesn't fit the page. Doesn't show who the calendar synced with (it just says synced with but not who it's synced with). Link to the booking settings page at the top of the page has gone. Strange stings of code written across parts of it.
I hate it.

It looks likle they have now made some improvements. It's quite a bit better.
It makes you wonder how they could have rolled it out the way it was. Clearly no user testing.
What a terrible decision! This seems like the kind of update a BA/PM/Manager would come up with just to flex, or a brand new intern with a business degree thrown into web dev.
Whoever proposed this design idea should not be involved with design ideas. It feels like the designers haven't ever actually talked to anyone who USES the calendar.
I just want to add.
If you make changes to the desk top calendar, then change your mind and alter the App calendar; they don’t talk to each other!!! The desk top calendar setting is the one that keeps all changes. So no change you make in app actually happens even though in the app it shows things are changed. They aren’t!!
example:
I had changed how many days minimum guests can book each day of the week (ordered it this way to give me the weekends off from turnovers). Then after a month or so I decided to go make a change to a general minimum 2 days reservation for all days again and changed it in the app. The change made in the app affected nothing! Only the desk top booking changes stayed ( newer changes made in the app never showed up on the calendar). So my only conclusion is the app and the desk top do not talk to each other.!! We lost a lot of bookings till we found this out and changed the desk top calendar settings. Why don’t the calendars talk to each other? That means the app is useless and you don’t even know how or why your business slowed has slowed down.
hope that makes sense…

There's a "featured answer" but it's clunky to find and I don't think it actually answered it.
On another thread there is a solution provided by an Airbnb rep...
Use https://www.airbnb.com/multicalendar/xxxxxxxxxx
Just replace the xxxxxx with your listing's unique code.
This view is not as nice as when you see it on your 'phone but it makes price adjusting so much easier.
It's unusable. I can only use the phone to change prices or block out weeks. Everytime I click on a day, it has to reset, won't accept more than a day I have to turn off the last day I was on, let the page reset and adjust each day individually. So incompetent.
I TOTALLY agree... it is so frustrating!
Not being able to clearly read your notes on the calendar for for dates you block off is a nightmare. (I made my first ever double booking because of that the other day.) Also, now not being able read notes on past dates at all so frustrating as it was such a useful tool. The old calendar was so much better in every way.
It just seems like Airbnb are trying to penalise you for making the occasional direct booking.
Hi @Joe3646 , I hope you're well 😊. Thank you for your feedback. If would like to, you could also write your feedback on this form https://www.airbnb.ca/help/feedback.
