Hi @Carolina2516
First of all — congratulations on your first guest. That’s the hardest milestone.
You’re not starting from zero anymore. Now it’s about momentum.
From the screenshot, here’s what I would focus on:
────────────
1. Cover Photo Strategy
Your first image shows the interior with the orange curtains.
It’s vibrant and memorable, which is good. But ask yourself:
If someone is scrolling for Rio, what makes them stop?
You also have:
• Pool
• Palm trees
• Outdoor views
• Bright Brazilian light
You may want to test leading with a stronger “Rio lifestyle” image — something that immediately signals location and vacation energy.
Interior color is a differentiator.
Location lifestyle is a click driver.
────────────
2. Tighten the Opening Description
Right now your description reads more like a feature list.
Instead, lead with a positioning sentence.
For example:
Modern colourful apartment in Recreio, perfect for couples or small families who want comfort close to the beach. Enjoy pool access, secure parking, and easy access to local restaurants.
Then follow with your feature details.
Emotion first. Details second.
────────────
3. Clarify the Sleeping Setup
You list 4 guests, 1 bedroom, 2 beds.
Make this extremely clear in both:
• Photo captions
• Description
For example:
“King bed in the bedroom + sofa bed in the living room.”
Uncertainty reduces bookings. Clarity increases them.
────────────
4. Amenities That Convert in Rio
In this market, guests care about:
• Air conditioning
• Fast WiFi
• Safety and building security
• Distance to beach
• Parking
If you offer these, highlight them near the top of your description.
Safety and comfort sell strongly in Rio.
────────────
5. Add Photo Captions Everywhere
Photo captions reduce mental effort.
Instead of:
Kitchen photo
Write:
“Fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, and full-size fridge.”
This answers questions before guests even ask them.
────────────
6. You’re in the “1 Review” Stage
Right now, the priority is not maximizing price.
It’s building 3–5 strong reviews.
Consider:
• Slightly competitive introductory pricing
• Flexible short stays
• Fast response times
Airbnb rewards activity and conversion.
Once you reach 5 reviews, visibility becomes much easier.
────────────
You already have a strong foundation. The apartment looks clean, modern, and visually distinctive.
Now it’s about:
Clarity
Positioning
Search visibility
If you’d like, I can help you refine your headline and first paragraph — that’s usually where the biggest conversion gains happen for new listings.
You’re very close.
Jonathan
I suggest to create in the photo tour the section "livingroom" and move the livingroom photos there (now in section "additional")
Then you can also add in the editor the second bed (size and type) to it.
Same for kitchen: create section "kitchen" and move photos to it from section "additional"
In general: add captions to the photo's
Maybe add some information or (house)rules about the outdoor amenities (pool, gym, etc..)
Hope this helps
Thank you for your reply. I'm going to make the changes you suggested.
