Pet friendly filter on guest searches

Why does my property show up when people use the pets allowed filter when I have clearly checked the No Pets box? I have had 2 people now who said it showed as pet friendly and i have checked that my settings are still saying No Pets.

@Alison842  when someone uses a filter then he gets a list of available accommodations... followed by others who don't match entirely but are similar. So if there are just a few or none pet-friendly Airbnbs in your area then yours and other homes will be shown as alternatives. Guests don't always notice it's an alternative, they assume all shown homes match their search.

Thank you for that - I will try and make it more obvious in my listing.

Yes, @Alison842@Branka-and-Silvia0 , I just had a guest book for a week, and then ask me about cancelling the reservation a few hours later, once they realized I did not accept pets.  They had 2 dogs and wanted me to cancel for them so they could avoid the service fee.  Of course I notified them I could  not cancel or I would be charged.  They knew they had 48 hours to cancel, but were contacting me to hopefully avoid the fee which Airbnb pockets.  I was not aware that Airbnb was now keeping the service fee during that 48 hour grace period.  My take is this is the best tactic Airbnb has currently for bringing in funds.  Book everything and keep the service fee whether the reservation works or Not!

@Alison842 it is very clear in your listing now that you don't accept pets.

Great - thanks for the feedback as I made some changes to the listing this morning in response to the problem a guest had yesterday.

This makes it super difficult to find a place to stay with pets! I can't even find the filter anymore-- super annoying!

@Andy3090

There is no such filter.

You need to add in the "guests" section a pet will be in the potential booking.

The only the pets-allowed listings will be shown.

Do you ask for verification for pet vaccinations?
