16 guest maximum on Airbnb @Julie5627

Why don't you use platforms set up for hostel accommodation @Julie5627
Interesting, I had heard they had quietly removed this requirement from most comms,
There is still a party ban but you are allowed more than 16 guests if your property allows it

Ps not sure if we have any of those platforms in NZ.
Have you actually searched for hostel accommodation in NZ to see where hostels are advertising ? @Julie5627
The problem is the host wants to set up on Airbnb.
Here is the official Airbnb statement on it removing the 16 person cap which was put in place around covid ...
"The temporary party ban policy announced in summer 2020 included a 16-person occupancy cap — which was prompted primarily by COVID-19 concerns around large gatherings prior to the introduction of vaccines. As part of the updated policy, and based on feedback from a number of Hosts who have listings that can house above 16 people comfortably, we will remove this cap"
then give Airbnb a call and ask them how you remove the 16 person cap @Julie5627
There will be multiple listings for the one property and will be set up under a business or 'professional services account' - the main concern is how do you cap guests to 30 on any given date when you have multiple listings (up to 30 that allow for 30 individual groups) for the one property. It would be a shame to have to suggest an off platform solution but perhaps that is the way to go.
I'd prefer to rely on guidance directly from Airbnb rather third parties. @Julie5627 who often talk rubbish . They use link bait articles like this to drive traffic to their websites .
Go in and search as a guest you will see the maximum number of guests you can add is 16 .
and yes there are international hostel websites that cover NZ
