Should I list Wildlife pictures to my listing

Hej,

What do you think about pictures of these animals in the ad?

We live in the middle of a forest, we know the animals is around, but never or hardly been seeing them: Lynx, wild boar, moose, grous, deer, spiders, waspsand more maybe. Would it be necessary or scare away the guests?

I spent my summers at the family cottage all summer until about age 10.  I was, maybe 8, when at the edge of the lake a snake had caught a frog.  It's the natural food chain but it was fascinating to watch and learn.  Also, my friends and I would sit on the dock at night and throw pebbles in the air for the bats to catch and then drop in the lake.  

When we bought our cottage 20 years ago, it was unresistable because of the similarity to my youth.  Even my Mom agreed.  I guess that if you learn early, it never leaves you.  I now feed chipmunks, red, grey, flying and black squirrels.  As well as leat 25 different bird species, not limited to Chickadees, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Juncos, Grouse and the list goes on.

Living in a nature paradise.  Will never give it up for urban life.

@M199 My grandparents had 200+ acres in the foothills of Alberta, so my formative years (and beyond) were spent in the woods. Those early experiences also imprinted on me. If you gave me the choice between living in a luxurious downtown big city penthouse or a little cabin in the woods, I’d take the cabin in the woods all day long!

I used to live in a small town and would get to see a lot more of it, although there is a surprising amount of animals you can cross paths with in London. Foxes, parakeets, squirrels ... nothing as big as a cow moose or deers though. 😄

@Emilie Yes! Guests comment on the wildlife. Some have even left little sketches in our guest book of what they’ve seen.

Hi Emilie,

Some years ago we had a young couple here, only for a night. Before they went to bed, they took a walk into the forest. They came back after a short while, and both of them so excited. 

They showed us this picture ... 

It was a moose cow and her baby!

'We just arrived, and only for one night!'

@Emilie  Yes, we have often have guests mention how much they enjoyed watching the deer that frequent our front yard.  I remind guests, especial those with children, that the deer are not pets but wild animals and to not approach or feed them.

@Linda-And-Richard0 As the deer is such a frequent visitor and comes in so close it could give the wrong impression, it's a really good idea to remind everyone to be cautious ... and even more so guests who might have less experience with wildlife!

@Pia377   We own rural properties and have a large variety of animals that may be seen.  However, other than posting information in the properties themselves, we do not advertise on the website what animals are in the area.

We have had guests who were thrilled to see a bear on the driveway, but others who called, totally panic stricken, when there was a squirrel on the deck.
