Starting airbnb

Hello everyone! 

My family owns a a house in Carolina, Puerto Rico and attached is a small apartment (1 bedroom, 1 bath) that was recently done. I am debating Airbnb the apartment out due to us owning the house and it being essentially cost free to begin, minus furnishing. I am nervous about doing Airbnb remote as I live in CT. Does anyone have and advice or tips on remote Airbnb hosting as I debate beginning the process.
