Hello,
I received an email a weeks ago that my listing made the top 1%.
When I look at the listing it still says top 5%.
Everytime I reach out to support, they say wait another 72 hours. Does anyone know typically how long this takes to update?
I also had an issue with my Superhost status updating this quarter, so I have this small doubt my listing status will update.
Does it normally take over a week to update?
Thanks!
The way I read it, it's something your listing achieved in the last 3 months ("Every three months, you’ll get personalized insights on your last quarter"). It doesn't say on what date it was achieved, how long it stayed in that position, or in how many 24-hour cycles it was achieved.
I guess it's like telling a parent that their kid won a race sometime during the last term 🤣
It only makes them wish they were there to take a photo (or a screenshot, in this case) ...
Hi Shelley,
I have confirmed with support there is an issue, it is not my misunderstanding. Thank you for your help.
Hi @Jennifer-and-Don1 - in my case it was a misunderstanding. Your screen shot and my screen shot have different elements.
In my case they are just saying I am in top 1% not guest favorite 1%.
Why that top 1% doesn't translate into any movement on my guest favorit is still odd.
I received a phone call from AIRBNB support to explain this - based on tagging the community managers.
Sorry that my situation didn't shed any further light on your situation.
Please keep us informed!
Good luck!
@Greystone0 in your case it's definitely not the overall rating holding you back (you can't get more than 5!) and it's also not the usual culprit, the sub-category ratings. (The same goes for @Jennifer-and-Don1 )
As you have 41 reviews already, I suspect there may just be too many listings with only 5 reviews coming in at the top in your area. Their response rates and cancellation rates are probably still perfect so early on, each of their handful of guests have reviewed them timeously and they have reviewed each one of them back, and so on.
Also, if you're on request to book, you may have declined guests (in order to protect your 5 stars), but then it bites you in guest favourite.
The new thing I noticed in the guest favourite criteria, is that it now also looks at "review removal rate" - there's no indication whether this means by the host or the guest or both, or by Airbnb.
I think Guest Favourite is intentionally set up to help promote new listings. Guests naturally trust established listings more, so Airbnb tries to pull new listings into the mix by encouraging the new listing discount, boosting them a bit in search and making it easy for them to be a Guest Favourite while they gain some traction and build up reviews.
Good Morning,
The morning my case has been escalated to a Senior Case Manager, and they are working with Tech to resolve the discrepancy between the email I received and my listing.
I will keep you posted on what I find out!
