How do I simply transfer my AirBnB account with write up, pictures, descriptions, etc. to the new owners of the property ??
I sold property. How do I transfer all contacts, etc. ??
I do have other listing that I will be keeping on Airbnb. I am just selling this one.
I don't see how what I'm talking about falls under the definition of fraud. Based on what you posted from airbnb policy, it doesn't seem to be allowed, but from a general rule of law this wouldn't be fraudulent. No deceit nor intent to deceive is taking place. They update the profile and reverify the info. I never suggested they pretend to be anybody other then themselves. And if they put its under new ownership at the top of the listing and contact all existing reservations I see no unjustified claims nor a case for fraud. But you are correct it seems with the airbnb policy so they would be in violation of there. I never claimed to know what the policy was.
The deceit is taking reviews for a host prior and keeping them for the host current. As the new owners, you are not entitled nor did you earn the star scores, the reviews, or Superhost status from the previous owner. Additionally, there is no post-verification process. The verification comes with the first, set-up and the intention that this person, this host, will not change. You can't just change the name, email address and bank info and get a new verification. Airbnb will not go through the process again and pretending to be the first host with some changed details, is ...intend[ing] to deceive others, typically by unjustifiably claiming or being credited with accomplishments or qualities ... like claiming to be the person who was verified in the first place. THIS IS FRAUD. DO NOT DO THIS.
just spoke to an Airbnb customer service rep and she said you can do what Ned and Laura suggested. @Ned-And-Laura0, @Alice-and-Jeff0
So....if I change the name, info on the host & then put on website new owner & contact each reservation letting them know...I would be OK to do that?
I have tried to get through many times to speak to an Airbnb person & it is literally impossible.
Not sure if I am talking to Alice or Jeff so that is misleading and inconsistent with your stance. AirBNB like VRBO has changed policies over time and this looks like there is reason to evaluate this policy. VRBO will let you tranfer reviews and photos, etc. if management (host) will agree I have directly managed several properties and I also have one that has a 10% hosting company. In our case we take care of properties directly and also deal with guests directly once they are 10 days from checking in. The score is earned by us on both and it reflects that. Just saying your hard and fast position like most could be reevaluated.
I would like to speak to an airbnb specialist & do this right but I absolutely have not been able to get a live person ...have tried all times of the day & night...this is maddening.
Alice & Jeff, not all properties are the same. Just realized your renting a room in your own place and you literally host the clients. You like one night stays since you do the $15 cleaning. Your position makes perfect sense for you. Totally different than my management company Evolve who it our electronic host and since we are really the hands on property managers the ratings are more accurately earned by us than our host. Zeke's Lake Lodge is hosted and held hostage vs. Jennie's Lake Cottage which we control. Hope you can see logic in a different perspective. ???
Thanks for all of the comments. I am trying to navigate through this situation as I am purchasing a piece of property that has been rented to Airbnb. I would like to continue renting it through Airbnb as I have been an avid Airbnb renter. However I am struggling to figure out how to deal with this because the property in question is rented out through the new year and I really want to stay in it myself! It’s a good problem to have, but the reality is I have to figure out how to not piss off the people who have committed to renting in the next several months
@Karen1328 Who ever you talked to was completely incorrect. It can get the listing permanently pulled and the acccount shut down.
Hello @Karen1328, @Kevin475, @Ilona5, @Letti0, @Alice-and-Jeff0,
I hope you are good.
I just wanted to come back and hopefully add some confirmation around this.
In terms of transfering an exisiting listing on to a different person's account or taking over another person's account entirely, even if you are adding different details, to highlight this does go against Airbnb's Terms of Service (section 4.4) and therefore shouldn't be done. Therefore, if you are selling your property or taking an Airbnb on, you would need to set up a new account/listing for this.
I personally, think it is good to keep in mind that although it's the same property, the reviews are personal to the host and the verifications etc. and trust plays a very important role. If a booking has already been made, it has been made on the conditions agreed at the time.
If you have further questions, I would recommend contacting our Support Team directly and they will be able to help you with your specific case.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Lizzie

@Lizzie ,
Thank you for responding. I am selling my listing due to personal reasons and the new owners want to keep all reservations.
Is there a way that I may transfer all the listings reservations to the new owner? I imagine that I could add them as a co-host, change the payment settings to his accounts and then when there are not so many reservations have them create a new listing and delete mine. But, they would not get any reviews and I don't want to co-host too long, plus it really isn't me.
I do not look at my airbnb listing as just a business. I have repeat customers and have two women that have weddings planned and are staying at our cottage. I cannot just cancel the reservations on them. We are "training" the potential new owners how we run our cottage, have cleaners in place and have everything set up professionally. There has to be a way to not cancel reservations on people, but to also transfer ownership of a property.
Thank you
I have tried over & over (by phone) to contact someone & I go through all the choices (push 1, 2 etc),
I am told to push 0 for a live person...it puts me on hold & I never get anyone as it cuts me off after a few
minutes. Any suggestions

Im currently trying to sell my airbnb apts and understand that i cannot transfer the business as such, but is there a creative way to link the reputation and history i had with the new listing and new owner? Maybe linking with other social media platforms somehow?..Thanks
