Weekend 3 night minimum stay problematic gaps

On Friday and Saturdays we can usually get 3-night guests. I don't care if they add on a Thursday or a Monday to get the 3-nights. However, since we can't always get a 3 night minimum, and sometimes someone books Fri-Mon – then to make it so guests could then book just that open Thursday night, I have to remove the custom setting for that weekend.   And recently, a 3 night-er was cancelled (and the custom 3 night minimum was no longer in place) and someone shortly after just booked Saturday night.  But I would also like it so that someone could also have the option to book one night or three on a Thursday check-in.

I know that hosts can create 3 night minimums for all check in days on individual days such as Thur, Fri and Sat (I understand that). But the problem with this method is that if someone does book 3-nights for a Fri-Mon., then removing the Thursday night 3 night minimum just to open that one night up, applies to all future Thursday nights.

Hence, as of now, I create custom/specific dates on every weekend, hoping to get a 3 night far enough in advance, such that if they did book a Fri-Mon, then I can remove that custom specification for that weekend, and make just the Thursday available, and still get it booked.

Airbnb needs to make it so you can choose more than just x number of nights for a certain day check-in.   They need to offer multiple number of night stay options for each possible check-in day.   E.g., in my case, being able to say then can book 1 or 3 nights with Thursday check in.

That does not give a guest the option to book for one night on a Thursday.   What is needed is giving guests the option to book for x,y, or z amount of nights on a particular date, or day (based on the needs of the hosts).

I think I just figured it out for our needs though, using rules sets (thank you).   Create a Rule Set to use on Thursdays only that do not allow a Saturday check out.   Then keep the custom trip length Fri-Sat. 3 night min.   That seems to do the trick!   Thank you for your input Emiel, that got me on the right track!

You need to create a rule set with minimum stay of 3 nights and apply it to the days you want.

If a whole weekend (fri-mon) is booked, only for that previous Thursday remove the ruleset (if your default setting is 1 night minimum) , otherwise apply rule set with 1 night minimum or set date manually to 1 night stay.

It is not possible to set multiple minimum stays values on a specific check-in day.
