I've always been able to obtain bookings, but I feel a bit reluctant about the fact that I'm in Arizona and the small room they will be staying in, faces the afternoon sun. I live here also, and I know that room gets hot. I have dark shades, a ceiling fan, a small bedside fan, and plenty of air conditioning. However, I feel reluctant to mention that the room can get hot in my listing. I always have the air on and tell me guests they are free to adjust the thermostat (only 1 or 2 have). I almost feel like I'm lying by omission. What are your thoughts?

Hello @Carolyn284! 👋
Hi @Carolyn284
I don't see complaints about the heat in your reviews, so maybe it's all good? Of course, as you seem to know, the best way to address the issue is to do something about the heat. It sounds like you've already tried to make as many plans as possible. The only additional thing I can think of that usually makes a big difference, is to install a turbine ventilator on the roof. It mechanically extracts heat and makes the workload that the air conditioner has to do, more realistic. I'm sure the desert can be a real challenge!
Thank you so much! I'll look into that!
Hello @Carolyn284! 👋
I am Arizona too so I understand the concerns especially now haha.
The things I keep in my because yes, one of my rental rooms just because house layout is warmer then others.
None of my Guests are renting from me to sit in an Arizona bedroom.
Most of my market is contract workers.
Especially when we are approaching the 110 days I don't take night workers because it would be hotter day hours when they want to sleep
Day workers okay normally come back about 5 or 6 pm. I have my air programmed it cools off my house to my set point prior to that time because off peak pricing. I also have thermal black out curtains. Thermal keeps your cool air in longer. I do have a fan in that room and a ceiling fan. I have solar so wen the electric hits non prime pricing again I think for me 7 pm. My air just kicks on. I let guests know it is warmer if a big deal lets not do if not I also let them know tell me if uncomfortable.
I haven't had any issues. We can have 120 days lol those days usually we work out time and maybe 1 or 2 degrees lower on my air for a couple of hours.
