Kingston Hosts - you might be aware that the City of Kingston will be regulating short term accommodations, backed by false information provided by the Hotel lobby.
One angle floated by the lobby and reflected by some city counsellors is the idea that short term rentals are a primary source of human trafficking/sex trafficking violations.
While this idea has been denied by members of the local police force, a group of hosts have decided that training on the issue is an important step to show that we are open to the discussion and will be proactive about prevention, should it occur.
***It is important for all hosts, and those that assist hosts, to attend this event and show our voice to the City of Kingston that we are willing to work with them. Strength in numbers folks.
There are two information sessions available. They are free and will run approximately 2 hours.
Thursday January 23rd at 7pm
Saturday January 25th at 10am.
Location: The Community Room of Kingston Police headquarters on Division St.
Please message Heather at catwoodsairbnb 'at' gmail dot com to confirm your attendance ASAP.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
